## Description

Lor: The Ten Thousand Things is a 2D top-down, grid-cell, open-world building game in the family of Minecraft
and Roblox — with one radical difference: new items, materials, machines, and creatures are
created inside the game, through cauldrons, spell books, and ingredients in a folk-magic register
(think "eye of newt," not a periodic table), built on a foundation of 64 elements drawn from the
I Ching — not through external mods or code. It is also a tower-defence game, with cooperative,
non-griefing multiplayer at its core. See /codex for exactly which parts of this are settled and
which are still being worked out in the open.

## Assets

No logo, key art, or screenshots exist yet for Lor: The Ten Thousand Things itself — the game is
pre-production. The one playable artifact currently public is the object-composition proof of
concept in deliverable #2.

The illustrations elsewhere on the site are borrowed for mood from the two earlier Legend of Rah
attempts — hand-drawn art from the first (2022), and painted title art plus AI-generated character
art (PixelLab) from the second (2025-26), including the homepage's hero image — not screenshots or
key art of Lor: The Ten Thousand Things itself.
