The Legend of Rah
Spellgrove
A world built from 64 elements — and whatever you make of them.
A world where everything — trees, towers, dragons, you — is made from the same small set of ingredients. I'm building it in the open.
You build things inside the game, not with mods or a level editor — a cauldron, a spell book, ingredients with names like eye of newt. Underneath all of it, 64 elements, one per I Ching hexagram — the ten thousand things of the Dao De Jing, grown from a handful of fundamentals. I'm aiming for December 2026, on Android and iOS.
Where things actually stand
This is early. Right now there are design docs, a way of tracking the work, and a few proofs of concept — not a game you can play yet. The 3D things on this site are tests of one mechanic each, not a preview of the finished game.
The lore lays out what's settled, what's still just a direction, and what's genuinely open. Elements combining into items is the stable core and hasn't moved. The witch-and-cauldron register (a spell book, ingredients like eye of newt) is the current direction, not landed. How ingredients actually combine — laid out in a pattern, or dropped into a cauldron one at a time — isn't decided yet.

The floating islands — a trial build where the neighbouring places float beside the one you stand in
A trial APK, pointed at the staging server, that draws the public Areas next to yours on the world map as static islands floating around the one you are walking on — Market Stalls, Mountain Pass and Golem Hollow around the Village — reachable only through their doors as ever. Built to measure what it costs a phone and to see whether the world should be islands in the sky.
